 Spring Semester Education Plan – Electrical Engineering


Core Courses (12-15 credits)


1. intro to engineering (3-4 credits)

Fundamental concepts in thermodynamics with applications to automotive systems.

OR, focus on the principles of engineering.

2. Chemistry and or physics (3 credits)

Study of motion, forces, and energy in performance, handling, and quality.

Math/Science Support Courses (3-4 credits)


5. Applied Differential Equations or Advanced Mathematics for Engineers (3-4 credits)

Emphasis on solving real-world engineering problems.

6. Materials Science for Engineers (3 credits)

Understanding the properties of materials used in engineering. 


Lab/Practical Experience (1-2 credits)


7. Engineering Lab or Workshop (1-2 credits)

Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools.

General Education or Electives (3-6 credits)


8. Public speaking skills (3 credits)

Develop skills for creating technical reports and presentations.

9. Ethnic studies for Hispanic and chicano (3 credits) (Optional Elective)

Calculus 1.


I am going to apply for financial aid but at the moment I have some personal problems that are keeping me from applying and doing the paperwork for it but I have an extension and have talked to the Los Rios administration. All my classes are ready for registration on December 22nd at 2:00pm.


Backup Schedule – Electives and Support Classes (Spring Semester)

Math/Science Support Classes (6-8 credits)

1. Applied Differential Equations or Advanced Mathematics for Engineers (3-4 credits)

Focus on mathematical models and problem-solving for engineering applications.

2. Physics II: Electricity and Magnetism (3-4 credits)

A foundational course that supports understanding electrical systems in vehicles.

3. Statistics for Engineers (3 credits) (Optional)

Covers data analysis, probability, and quality control, useful in manufacturing and R&D.

Extracurricular/Skill Development

Online Certifications: Enroll in online programs for skills like MATLAB, Python, or automotive diagnostics.

SAE or Project Teams: Collaborate on automotive-related extracurricular projects.
